one very busy kitchen

Our story

From catering Tasmanian weddings to a cafe on Main Road.

Feast Tasmania is owned and run by Felicity and Lewis, two well-seasoned chefs. Feast began as a wedding and event catering company, cooking for dinner parties and celebrations all over Tasmania with local, seasonal Tasmanian produce.

These days that same cooking happens in our cafe in Perth, a short drive from Launceston. Lewis runs the kitchen, Felicity bakes the tarts, and almost everything on your plate starts here: the bread, the chutneys, the beans, even the bacon, which we brine and slice ourselves.

The room is filled with work by Tasmanian artists, local foods and flowers. It gets busy, and we don't take bookings, so it's first come, first served.

“Everything is made in house, chutneys, bread, even the bacon. (They buy sides of pork, brine it, slice it and serve it to mouth-watering regulars).”

Felicity's Portuguese tarts

“The best this side of the equator.”

They come up in more reviews than anything else on the menu. Baked here, often still warm, and on the counter from 6am. Get there early, because they do sell out.

“We have been traveling Tasmania by car for nearly 5 weeks, and this cafe by far is one of the best! Super delicious tea cakes and slices and so much more. I even had a unique home made cordial. Plus there is a gift shop, locally made and flowers too.”

Treat yourself and drive out of town to Perth. Feast is super cute, local and the food is amazing quality at a reasonable price. Their Portuguese tarts are the best this side of the equator and their Big Breakfast is delicious! The staff are equally amazing and do their very best to remember not only your name and coffee order, but also your past conversations. Super friendly, old fashioned service ✨️

Easily the best cafe we went to in Tasmania! Delicious and reasonably priced, super high quality local ingredients, friendly and prompt service, I would try everything on the menu if I had more time.

Always busy for good reasons. Chef Louis provides consistently yummy meals with quality ingredients. Felicity’s Portuguese tarts are legendary. The wait staff are always friendly and welcoming. Good coffee, healthy options and a creative, relaxed and warm atmosphere.

All the staff are extremely friendly saying hello and goodbye as they enter and leave. Locals are known by name and treated with care. Food is delicious and can definitely taste the local produce used. Coffee was excellent. Even though we don't live in Perth we keep coming back on a weekend. Cannot recommend more.

Hands down one of the best steak sandwiches I've ever had, soft bun holding a juicy melt in your mouth steak. The chutney was an understated standout.
